Sound Kitchen, 2007
Single-Channel SD Video

Sound Kitchen is a performative video that explores notions of duration, time, and process. Everyday objects are investigated, and mundane tasks are performed. Short clips of audio are looped to create an accumulation of sounds: a quotidian symphony.

The artwork is composed of images recorded over a 24-hour period of confinement in the kitchen.

I gratefully acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded, traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples - sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) nations.
